• Abitibibowater Thorold have purchased and installed a sixteen (16) digital camera system from ECSuptime. This system will be both a break detection system as well as a defect analysis system. The system is using the latest in GigE high speed, high resolution cameras with state of the art LED low energy lighting.

• New Forest Products has selected Metso Automation for their consistency needs for their Stock Prep expansion. Metso MCA (microwave) and SmartPulp (shear force) products have been selected and will be commissioned.

• New Forest will install a Clouth HS1 holder on their Voith paper machine for better doctoring of the Dryer Cans

• New Forest find the Clouth DiaClouth 600 improves doctoring in the wet-end versus poly or cotton blades respectively.

• Abitibibowater have tried and are now standardizing on Clouth Doctor blades in many of their mills.

• Strathcona Papers have installed another kajaaniMCA to further improve their quality of pulp consistency feeding their boxboard machine.

• Atlantic Packaging, Whitby have purchased and installed six (6) Clouth Flex-18 Doctor Holders for their Newsprint Machine Dryer Section.

• Smurfit-Stone, LaTuque has ordered four (4) Clouth HS1 Doctor holders for their PM #3 machine.

• Atlantic Packaging, Whitby has ordered one (1) Clouth HS1 Doctor holder for their Newsprint machine.

• New Forest Products, Scarborough has installed an ALGAS microfilter system to further ‘polish‘ their effluent stream.

• Atlantic Packaging, Scarborough have ordered their 100th Satron Pressure Transmitter making this their exclusive transmitter in the mill.

• Strathcona Papers, Napanee have found that their two (2) new kajaaniMCA consistency transmitters have further improved their MD Caliper variability versus when they were using shear force technology.

• Metso Automation has delivered its 100th Kajaani MCA microwave consistency analyzer to the Ontario Mills.

• Norampac Kingsey Falls has purchased four (4) more IRCON IR Edge Dryer Modules.

• An Ontario Mill has purchased a multi camera Event Capturing System (ECS) Web Break and Web Inspection System.

• Newpage Port Hawkesbury further upgrades their Devronizers with V.I.B Steam Valves for longer life and better performance.

• Norampac, Kingsey Falls have ordered and installed an IRCON Dual Edge (Top/Bottom) Dryer System for their Paper Machine.  Results were in excess of expectations in reducing the Wet Edges and Streaks.

• NewPage Port Hawkesbury have recently ordered a V.I.B Systems Wet End Press Section Steam Profiler for their #1 Machine.  The mill’s decision was based on the V.I.B references like the AbitibiBowater Kenogami installation as well as V.I.B’s superior design and performance guarantees.

• Irving Tissue has recently expanded their Carotek ECS systems with the purchase of a new ECS Mobile Recording Unit (MRU) system that features wireless communication throughout the mill.  This MRU system can be integrated into an existing ECS system or used elsewhere in the mill to quantify high speed Web Break and Web Inspection data.

• NewPage Port Hawkesbury have recently ordered new V.I.B Steam profiler valves to replace the Honeywell Devronizer A8 valves in their profiler on the SuperCalender.

• New Forest Products in Scarborough have placed an order for the special Joh. CLOUTH Doctor Blades that are specifically designed for ‘tough’ applications on their new Voith machine.

• Sonoco Trenton have ordered our high quality LANEX threading ropes for their core stock machine.  Price and longevity were key to their decision.

• Domtar Dryden have ordered a special Hastelloy C kajaaniMCA for a critical consistency application feeding the Bleach Plant.

• AbitibiBowater Kenogami division have quantified the success of the recent startup of the new VIB SteamTech Press Section Profiler on their PM#7.  The results of this installation exceeded all guarantees and the mill is very impressed with the results in both production increase and reduction in 2 Sigma and moisture streaks.

• Atlantic Whitby replaces all of their 72 Devronizer A5 and A7 failed OPEN valves with safer more reliable V.I.B failed CLOSED stainless steel steam profiler valves.

• Bowater Thunder Bay installs SATRON pressure transmitters for their complete PM#4 Press Section; just like on PM#5.

• Sonoco Trenton orders a METSO kajaaniMCA microwave consistency trasmitter for their Dump Chest application as part of their new Fibre line optimization project.

• Norampac Mississauga changes suppliers of Web Threading Rope to LANEX after successful trial in harsh environment.

• New Forest Products commissions their third (3) METSO kajaaniMCA Microwave Consistency Analyzer replacing a competitive shear force rotary device.
