How to maximize your assets |
Tecumseth Service was commissioned by an Ontario mill to audit, service and recommission one of its Steam Profiler assets (Devronizer), which had been removed from the machine for sometime. The success of such a task not only included the quantification of work required to repair the profiler, but also the auditing of the Steam Supply System that feeds the profiler and the way the mill had been 'running' this profiler. After many improvements and especially modifying the mill's understanding on 'how to run a steambox', this project was completed with the results exceeding the mill's expectations.
Our view is that the Steam Supply Engineering and Design make up 50% of the succes of any Steam Profiler project.

ECS Digital Camera System |
Assuring that the Paper Machines are running to their maximum production is still
the number one priority with our customers. When speaking to this need, we are always asked about our Digital Camera System from ECS and how this system can improve production. Recently we installed two systems in a Tissue Mill on their machines. The first day of commissioning presented the Tissue makers with our
up to 200 frames per second images that enabled them to optimize full sheet
turn-ups with no 'ballooning' nor breaks. The system also identified three (3) other problem areas on the machine that were remedied.
