In energy-intensive sectors such as pulp and paper, the ability to re-use the vast amounts of water that are integral to many of its processes is critical.
ALGAS cleans, or polishes water, rendering it clean, clear and ready to be recycled back into the process for re-use. In many instances, the water will be of a sufficiently high temperature to re-use without requiring any further heating, as the AGLAS unit behaves as both a wastewater/water treatment and an effluent/water treatment at the same time.

Algas Microfilter handles most of your
water and effluent treatment needs, by:
          Totally flexible -
For a wide range of pulp & paper applications:
     Recovering fibre and raw materials
Incoming river and municipal water treatment
Increasing the quality and quantity of treated water for
safe re-use, thereby closing up systems
Fibre recovery - using the clear filtrate to replace fresh water
Improving ‘’clear’’ water from existing savealls, disc filter, DAF       etc. to a SUPER CLEAR quality.
Reducing water consumption      Treating filtrate from screw presses, saving water, fibre and       fractionating out fines & filler when appropriate
Retaining power, energy and heat with the recycled water      Separate treatment of DIP Sludge
Reducing effluent discharge flows      Increasing capacity of existing effluent systems or just Algas       Microfilters for primary effluent treatment
Meeting discharge standards      Treating black liquor
          Pre-Thickening of bio sludge
Microfiltration after final bio treatment for water re-use or       discharge, meeting current limits
